I answered.

Me: "Hello?"

Him: "What do you want me to do with this turkey?"

Me: "I'm not your wife."

Him: "Who'd I call?"

Me: "Alicia."

Him: "Oh. Nevermind. See you this weekend."

Hee.

(Also, I would like to point out that he's been married to my mom since 1983 and has known me since I was four. You'd think he might be able to distinguish our voices. Double hee.)Aliciahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06560923893875596928noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8953434957462559041.post-69438229383508092032011-05-23T14:10:15.077-07:002011-05-23T14:10:15.077-07:00My mom has always been very young where the people...My mom has always been very young where the people-my-age thing is concerned. I like that a lot because not only am I not there yet on my own mom getting old, we're only now just getting to HER parents growing old (she was 20 when she had me, and they were about the same when they had her).

Archer is a pacifier baby ("passer," per baby Kieran, who was our only other pacifier baby). He just turned 2. I have no real plan or desire to get rid of them yet. With Kieran, I always thought we got rid of the pacifier when we moved into the first house we bought, two months before he turned 4 (he was down to having one only at nighttime), but I found a photo a few months ago of him sleeping with one in that house. So maybe he was more like exactly 4.

I know 4 is really late, but I never felt like it was a big deal because he loved his passer so much. We weaned him when it was right - which for him was when we got to the point where we could talk about it and reason with him... I never wanted to do it cold turkey or make a big production.

I have no idea what we'll do with Archie, but I don't feel like we're there yet.Aliciahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06560923893875596928noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8953434957462559041.post-69693914618038799152011-05-23T11:32:49.312-07:002011-05-23T11:32:49.312-07:00Will also be waiting with bated breath for the run...Will also be waiting with bated breath for the run down on the fish/paci exchange. I wish I had advice. E just hit two with five (5!) pacis in her bed every night.

We had the Paci Fairy visit when Z was just 2. It was hard for the first three trips to the crib (two naps and one bedtime) and after that really not an issue. We dreaded it for nothing. So I hope that you will have an even smoother transition. Because of fish! AND ROCKS!

So glad Winston is on the mend. And I'd sign your Down With Parental Aging petition.clueless but hopeful mamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11011524864788495788noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8953434957462559041.post-65155550341884509952011-05-23T10:33:55.656-07:002011-05-23T10:33:55.656-07:00I can't WAIT to hear about the pacifier/fish e...I can't WAIT to hear about the pacifier/fish exchange.

Good Luck!Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10120774715331922926noreply@blogger.com
