I can't decide if it's something in the air, the water, or the season, but there are some weird things afoot. I got back yesterday late afternoon. I have some posts planned. REAL posts. But as I said, there are some strange things that are troubling me.
Namely:
- Can anyone explain to me how (OR WHY) the makers of this gem think that Everything Old is New Again? Or why it's supposed to make such a stellar Christmas gift? (I had one once. The ORIGINAL. I think I grew it for a while until it seemed gross and so I scraped off the plant-y bits and just had the little clay sheep-like animal sitting on my kitchen counter for months and months. I considered gluing beads or jewels on it, but I didn't. Eventually Phoebe knocked it off the counter and so it met its sad bitter end.) Incidentally, they now have a Chia Obama head. Really.
- Something ELSE that is attempting to make a holiday come back. Huh.
- Why oh why am I TEMPTED to get this? IT HAS A REMOTE CONTROL! A CONTROL THAT GOES THROUGH WALLS AND WINDOWS!

I saw a Scooby Doo Chia head in a store recently and it was just plain ugly. Scooby never had an afro!
I'm sorry but I am still in shock... you really had a Chia Pet???? I think clapping your hands to turn on a light instead of moving just doesn't seem right to me. The remote would be nice... we actually have one for our outdoor Christmas lights was great in Utah when there was 6 inches of snow I had to work thru to unplug the outdoor lights in the trees, bushes and on the house...Oh, but then I'm not having to move...guess some of us are particular about what we will do to turn on and off lights.... I'm awful, I know. Glad you are home.
I love how these commercials come back every year at this time! And the best part is that I think they use the same commercials from the 80s!
Funny, last night I saw the Chia section at the store and was almost (but not quite) motivated enough to write a post. Thank you for being less lazy than me, so I don't have to and can just say here:
They make a Chia Spongebob. That doesn't even make any sense.
