awesome / not awesome - the monday morning edition

So I had this funny post about Fergus ready to go up and it required photos and Blooger (I'm going to KEEP that typo because I am MAD at Blooger so there) - would NOT cooperate and let me upload photos. I tried for two hours and I'm more than a little cranky about it.

Instead, I give you the Monday Morning Edition of Awesome/Not Awesome because we haven't played that in a long while. I encourage you to join along. It's a catchy sort of game. I think.

And so...

Awesome: a brand new laptop from my NOT brand new husband (but we love him just the same and maybe even a smidgen more because: BRAND NEW LAPTOP).

Not Awesome: some very weird issue with Blooger and uploading photos and I have NO IDEA what's going on here so I'm blaming a combination of laptop/Blooger stupidity but it could be entirely Blooger's fault, I just don't know. (Are any of you having trouble uploading photos?) Either way, it's decidedly NOT awesome.

Awesome: on the Sneaky Little Peanut front, we're headed off to see an allergist with Bean this morning. And he's apparently one of the best pediatric allergists in the Northwest. Like, they wrote about him in a magazine.

Not Awesome: having to see an allergist at all. Because, you know, it's not so fun for the little tater tot. Our appointment, we've been told, may last up to two and a half HOURS. That's a lot of hours.

Awesome: it's my birthday week. And I love a good birthday week.

Not Awesome: stupid Blooger with the stupid lack of photo uploading goodness. I have OLD PHOTOS to share with you guys of past birthdays! And doesn't everyone LOVE an old grainy 1970's photo? Well, you won't be seeing anything until I can get this problem worked out. ...Or until I decide to get LESS lazy and just move the pictures to another computer and use that to see if it's a universal Blooger problem or just the lone problem of my lovely! new! shiny! laptop.

Awesome: week two of 30-day shred.

Not Awesome: I want to die.

Awesome: fabric! (See picture down to the right that WAS able to upload to Blooger last night, so hey! That's awesome!)

Not Awesome: there isn't a lot that's NOT about this bullet point except my lack of huge chunks of time to play with said fabric. And that's truly not a big downer when you think about it.

Awesome: YOU. Yes you. You are awesome. To come here each day and visit. To say hello. To share your stories. To tell me that I, little old furry lovable ME*, am awesome. So I unofficially declare, since we're all pictureless here at The Creamery right now, this to be DELURKING DAY. (Look at that little nugget of surprise!) So, you lurkers, you people who read-but-don't-comment, you people who like to hide in the shadows, you people who stop by to skim a post or two but don't feel compelled to comment, I now compel you to comment. With my vastly superior skills, I compel you to just say hi. Delurk. Just for today. If you want to only leave a little punctuation mark, I'm okay with that. Just let us know that you're out there.

And for those of you who feel like you'd like to do more, tell me what's on your Awesome/Not Awesome list. Go!

*name that reference, you Blooger Babes. It's a book that Bean has decided is in the LOVE camp and so I read it far too many times each day to keep my sanity.

I think you already knew about me. Good luck with your 30-day shred! Angela is doing that too, maybe you guys can do it together! Then if one of you dies, the other can call 911. :)

I hope Alice gets all the help she needs!

So I've been having a lot of blooger problems and it was related to new versions of internet explorer not cooperating with Blooger. When I use Mozilla the problems seem to go away.

Also: Your birthday week?! How Fun! How are you celebrating?

Good luck at the drs. Bring lots of toys and PATIENCE.

ps: my de-lurking punctuation would be "!"

Happy birthday week! And Chip must be vying for Husband of the Year with the awesome new laptop! We'll vote later. :)

I, too, am doing the 30 day Shred. I've taken a few days off (ahem) and WILL start back today.

If I would post more regularly I'd be able to chime in on Blooger problems but really, I just don't know. I have cute pictures though so hopefully I can get around to it today (after the shred. maybe.).

Happy Birthday!

How do I get my husband to buy me a new laptop? Not that this one is broken or anything, but ooooo... shiny new toy.

Delurking. I enjoy your blog. It is always fun and refreshing to read. Happy Birthday.

I too am trying that Shred DVD.

However, my current issue is that a woman, such as myself, who recently gave birth, cannot and should not do too many jumping jacks as it is NEAR IMPOSSIBLE to do without PEEING MY PANTS!

I too am excited for this most excellent month of birthdays. : )

I'm de-lurking! Hmmm, awesome: Since Jan. 1 I have been eating better and so far have resisted the urge to devour an entire bag of Doritos with sour cream. Not awesome: It is that wonderful time of the month, so even if I am losing weight, I can't tell because I am bloated beyond belief right now. But, it's only temporary. Right!?!?

Hope all goes well with the allergist! I will keep my fingers crossed!!

It's been another year?!?!! Well, I'm glad to celebrate with my long not-so-lost friend!

Ok fine. You have officially denounced my lurking therefore I must comment. Yes, I too have troubles uploading pix on Blooger. It tells me I have exceeded my maximum # of allowable photos. I say- HEY- this is the internet where all things are supposed to be infinite and available to me at all times! Wassup wit dat?

I know I am only an occasional lurker here, but hey, I don't have a blog, and I feel like playing Awesome/Not Awesome today, so here goes.

Awesome: I can read blogs at work while I wait for the computer to think.
Not Awesome: All the tabs I saved open over the weekend were closed when one site crashed my window.

Awesome: DH decided he is ready to make a life change and get healthy!
Not Awesome: Now I realize how far we really have to go.

I love your blog. I am so glad you share your life with us!

OMG, look at all the delurkers. You probably wish I would just lurk and shut up, but no such luck, Whimsy Duh.

With much love,

AWESOME: that I get to see you and Samwise in 1 WEEK.

Not Awesome: I have to get on a PLANE to get there. A plane leaving from an AIRPORT and filled with other PEOPLE who will be packing their own GERMS.

Can't wait to see you! What are your plans for your birthday?!

awesome: I finally know that my thyroid is dead and have gotten on medication

Not awesome: It took so long to find this out that my joints hurt like a 90 year old arthritic and going up and down stairs is HARDER than it was when I was 9 months pregnant

Awesome: I took initiative and called my doctor about it instead of just living with it like i tend to do

Not Awesome: I'm pretty sure my metabolism is dead too, as I'm eating near nothing, moving as much as I can, and gaining weight.

I just used your post as an opportunity to bitch about my crappy body. Thanks!

Happy birthday week. I had to take my son to the allergist for bee allergies before Christmas. They told me it could take 2-3 hours as well. Turns out he is not allergic so it was much quicker. Hope that is your case too. Good luck.

I love that you celebrate your birthday all week by simply calling it your "birthday week" -- awesome :-)

Not awesome: Shelby caught a cold and is NOT a happy camper at night.

awesome: a husband who cleans up the EXPLOSION of toys that took place in the living room this afternoon

Not awesome: the crying that ensues when my sweet pea realizes shower time is over.

I could go on and on, but I'll end with ---YOU are awesome for sharing your heart and mind with all of us daily. You keep me thinking and I love that you remind me when I forget and get a stupid perspective from time to time (case in point: last week - thank YOU!). love, K8 p.s. love all the folks who delurked themselves. Honestly I didn't know what that meant until today. DUH.

Chadillac said...

Not sure, but think I might be the only male delurking tonight. Hey, that's ok.

Awesome: getting the Christmas decorations down.

Not Awesome: got them down TODAY.

Awesome: still feeling fairly young.

Not Awesome: realizing I'm closer to 40 than 30. When did that happen?

Awesome: Kelly days.

Not Awesome: missing a fire on your Kelly day.

Happy Birthday Ames. Keep up the great work.

I have commented before, but I must give in to your demands.

I am now de-lurkified.

I am certain this has been mentioned, because not only am I the 20th commenter, but I am also a day late (and dollar short), per usual, but... That would be Grover. And if you're looking for a specific reference, I'm betting you're talking about The Monster at the End of This Book. Am I right? Am I right? Can I get a "what what"?

Happy birthday week! Which day? My grandmother's is Thursday! And also another of my friends! In the real life!

And oh dear, I'm sorry about the Shredding. I did Shred for FOUR WHOLE DAYS before Christmas, and I thought I would die. Die. But then we went out of town, and I decided I was not doing Shred in someone else's living room, and lookee there, I haven't started it back up. But I will. Oy.

I'm not a lurker. Rarely can you get me to shut up.

* Monster at the End of this Book <--never one of my faves, but the kiddos liked it. Amy do you have a copy? I can probably dig ours up for you if Nate would like to check it out!

I remember Grover! I'm not a lurker but felt compelled to comment today...wonder why?
