picture perfect wednesday

What becomes of a brand new two-year-old Bean on her birthday.

Pictures with daddy and mommy.

A birthday cake crowned with fairy flags.

Presents to open.

Card from Grammy and Grampy.

Birthday candles in daddy's arms.

Birthday present booty: pots and pans, a set of dishes and utensils, and a big bucket of play food.

(Bean gave up CAKE and even ICE CREAM to play with her presents instead.)

Cake for tired parents once the birthday girl retired to bed (a plastic ear of corn in one hand, a plastic head of lettuce in the other).

(a) She is so cute. I wish we could share clothes because I want that skirt.
(b) I want you to be my mother. Well, IN ADDITION to the already great mother I have.
(c) Did you get the kind of play food that is velcroed together and comes with cutting utensils for play cutting? Strangely satisfying.

How did she like the toys? Are you happy with what you ended up choosing?

Yay for Alice! Happy Birthday beautiful girl!

I totally agree with Bethsix. I bought play food for my arsenal of toys way before I got married and had London. They were supposedly for my nieces and nephews when they came over and for all my friends kids when they came over. It was a great distraction so adults could have conversations. However, I too find the cutting of velcroed foods strangely satisfying.

She is so adorable. Happy Belated Birthday, Bean.

And seriously, am I the only one who thinks it's weird that their kid gives up cake in favor of playing? Mine used to do that too. IT'S CAKE!!!
