outdoorsy

The following entry isn't funny, interesting, or enlightening. You have been warned.

Chip got home early today and is out aerating the lawn. These are the exciting things that top my mind lately. He has Alice out there with him - apparently she is to learn the importance of lawn maintenance early.

We are still working on the whole Getting Out Into the World concept. How do people DO IT??? I've developed something of a system - but the system requires me to have at least 90 minutes of prep time before we can leave the house.

In an effort to branch out (see above re: Getting Out Into the World), we're going to start attending a weekly moms and babies class next week. It's for moms with babies 0-3 months. I am secretly hoping that it gives me some good blog fodder, because after this post, I'm ready to poke myself in the eye from sheer BOREDOM.

Anyone have any good weekend plans? We're meeting up with my friend Mary and doing (gasp) LAUNDRY and also staying home. CAN YOU STAND THE EXCITEMENT???

There's a Girls Night Out for all the women in the ward during the Priesthood Session... so that's one thing you can do!

I'm not going...cause I'm terrified of going anywhere alone with two toddlers and a newborn... so if Girl's Night Out sounds like too much... you can come over to my house and hang out.... :)

What do you mean this wasn't funny or interesting? I did not know you are suppose to teach a newborn how to aerate a lawn... no wonder my girls never offered to help, oh no, they are raising a whole other generation on non-aerators... oh the poor lawns of the world. Had I only known. Why (rest of question deleted for rudeness)? I have to allow at least 90 minutes to get myself ready. When you get my age you can't see to put eyeliner on. I have tried several different techniques but I seem to end up looking like one of the singers in KISS. I guess that's why we have to practice getting ready at a young age and a baby is the one to help you do that. Our weekend will consist of trying to get our garage in order so we can get a car in it. I think laundry sounds like a lot more fun... at least there is an end in sight!! Hang in there.

Our weekend of EXCITEMENT includes laundry, some much needed cleaning, some sewing, cutting up a big tree that done fell over, conference and maybe some family time.

And let's not forget the joys of homework for the Husband and the accompanying rage. Funtastic, no?

Our exciting weekend (we don't have kids, even) features a trip to the DMV, recycling some old computers, depositing a check, and possibly going out to dinner. Woo!

Just wait til I show her the importance of washing a car or getting rid of moss on the roof. JK..... However Actually Alice and I are going to vacuum the upstairs this weekend for mom. Alice likes hanging out with me when I am moving,... (and her hottie mom likes it when I vacuum)

I know what you mean...it took me months to figure out how to get out after Elora was born. My solution was to nurse her in the car after we got to our destination.

My first baby and I joined one of those classes and LOVVVVVVVED it. I couldn't believe how much fun it was to talk to other people in the same post-partum, new-baby situation.
