and she's a darn good photographer too

Take a look at what came in the mail today:

Yes, that would be my fantastic package from Maggie at and the duck said. If you recall ever so recently I was the winner of her pay it forward contest. Man alive. There is a book! And a Target gift card! And handmade cards! And an adorable dress for Bean! And post it notes! (Let's not pay any attention to the bag of charcoal sitting in the background, okay?)

So in summary: Maggie not only is a fantastic photographer, she's also a fantastic package creator. Wow. The timing of this package is excellent because Alice and I are headed to my parents' tomorrow (on a plaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaane - by oursellllllllllllllllllllllllves). I might even be able to read the book (if I can remember how) while the relatives slather love on the beautiful girl.

Now, as part of the whole pay it forward concept, because I won Maggie's contest, I'm now going to host my own pay it forward...

PAY IT FORWARD II: REVENGE OF PAY IT FORWARD.

1. Post a comment, answering this question: If you were given $5 to spend at Target, what would you buy?

2. By posting a comment, you're entered to win PIF II.

3. The winner of PIF II will receive a baby themed package, including a handmade taggie and some other fun stuff.

4. If you win PIF II, you'll post a picture of the package (once you receive it) and then host your own PIF.

5. The contest ends next Saturday, 7/26/08 at 5pm pacific time.

GO!

$5 at Target, really?

1 Box of kleenex because I cannot stop the crying right now.

1 chap stick because the lips they are chappy.

1 bag of peanut butter m&ms to consume medicinally.

$5 would go for some Burt's Bees tinted chapstick that I've been wanting but too cheap to buy.
That beautiful pay it forward (it's beautiful!) would be instantly paid forward to my SIL, who is expecting in October. Your PIF has given me baby fever, so thanks for that. Sheesh.

$5 at Target.... hmmmmmm.... I can never get out of that place spending less than $50.... anyway, I guess I'd probably buy some scrapbooky papers or embellishments from the clearance section. I never can seem to get enough of that stuff. Thanks for the chance to win!

Is only spending $5 at Target even possible??? I would find some new, funky colored nail polish.

(Came here from Swistle)

I always spend at least $50 at Target even if I intend to spend $5. But if I really only spent $5 I would buy some funky socks for myself.

Hmm, I don't have a Target right here (BOO), so even spending $5 there would be fun. I usually can find something in the $1 bins that I like (stationery, holiday fare, etc.) and I would use some to buy a tasty Archer Farms snack. I love their product...too bad I can't get more.

Hmmm... $5 is hard. I went in there today just to get toddler underwear and walked out after spending $70.

I thiiiiiiink I'd have to go with some fun things in the $1 bin. I got a way cool practicing letters erasable writing board placemat for Mister Man there last week.

I love, love, love Target. I've actually gone in there just to waste time. Given only $5 I would buy a color book and crayons. I love to color still!

some Archer Farms chips or maybe something really frivolous like blue mascara
