quick quick

So... it looks like we'll be outnumbering Chip in the Whimsy household. We're having a GIRL. In Chip's words: IT'S A FRIJOLITA!

yay! Congratulations! We were both a little in shock when we found out Elora was a girl. Joseph didn't think he'd be a good dad to a girl (Silly boy) and I wasn't sure what I'd do with her. After all, I told my mom to stop buying me dolls at age 6, and I hate frilly things and PINK. I've since changed my mind on pink.
Oh, and Elora seems to be fine.

I'm so happy right now! The Frijolita has totally won my heart and the girl isn't even here yet!

Oh...and I want names! As soon as they're down to the top three contenders--WE want to know what they are and why and oh I'm so happy you're having a little girl!

Bring on the CREAM!

Ahhh - thanks for all the very nice comments & congrats. We are very excited to be avoiding the need for a pee-pee teepee (look them up on google - FANTASTIC) at this point in our parenting career. We'd have been equally excited for a boy, of course, and if/when that time comes - I hope we're ready for the guiser peeing!

As for the questions about names, take a look at today's post. It's the project du jour around here. Actively working on it. And just because we mention possibilities like Avianella and Angina and Consuella doesn't mean we won't be considering suggestions from y'all.

We kept a working list on the fridge, to which each of us were welcome to add names. Joseph wanted to decide early on, but I wanted to wait till the last minute to decide for sure. Elora was pretty decided about a month or two in advance, but Joshua had been Jonah up until a few days before labor.
When people asked me about names, I would tell them a few of our top choices, but not our favorite. And depending on the person, I may not even tell them that, if I percieved them as being judgemental people. To them I would say, "We haven't decided yet."
People have VERY strong opinions about names, it seems.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I can't wait to meet her! :)

p.s. I was pleasantly surprised that not all boys are as dangerous during a diaper change as I'd heard. My son rarely, rarely does that. And if he does, he usually gets himself. (This is terrible, but funny. Once he got himself in the face, and he looked up at me with this shocked look. I couldn't help but laugh--he just blinked and blinked up at me with urine puddled in his eyes).

haha,Heidi. Yeah, most the times this has happened at our house, he got himself in the face too!
